About Dhameel Gums
We are a reliable supplier of Somali Frankincense and Myrrh. Our gum and resin business has been in operation for the past three decades. It was initiated and established by our late founder, Ismail Mohamud (Suufi), who began harvesting gums in the 1950s from the Bari region of Somalia where he initially sold them only in the local markets. Over the years, through continuous harvesting and small-scale trading, we expanded our operations to ship our carefully harvested crops to Djibouti from 1985-1988.
Through several small shipments, we gained valuable knowledge about the global importance of Frankincense and Myrrh. Mohamed Ismail, the son of our founder, decided to further expand our business. In 1993, we launched our own warehouse in Sharjah, UAE, which is still operational today.
We take great pride in the achievements we have made and the reputation we have built over the past 31 years.
